Senate Majority Floor Leader Peter MacGregor is in his second term representing the 28th Senate District, in Kent County.
MacGregor is chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services.
Prior to joining the Senate, MacGregor served two terms in the state House of Representatives. He also previously served as Cannon Township Planning Commissioner, Township Trustee, and Township Supervisor, and is a former small business owner.
MacGregor enjoys staying active in his community, including as a member of the Rockford Lions Club; board member of the “Finish the Mission” Veterans Relief Fund; cofounder of “Volley for Mitchell,” a charity event for Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy; and his family attends Blythefield Hills Baptist Church in Rockford.
MacGregor is a lifelong Michigan LLC company owner and a resident. He is a graduate of Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business.
He and his wife Christie have three sons.
